2019 Honors Dinner

2019 NFF Honors Dinner celebrates achievements of sixty honorees

A record number of 60 people were recognized for their achievements at the 2019 edition of the National Football Foundation’s Honors Dinner on June 9 at the Purdue Memorial Union Ballrooms in West Lafayette. 

The 2019 NFF Honors Dinner was a mix of individuals who left their mark at the high school and collegiate levels of multiple sports in Northwest Indiana. 

The event celebrated the induction of two Indiana high school football legends into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame  - Dustin Keller as a player and Brian Moore as a coach - as well as several other deserving award winners from our chapter’s area at the “Celebrating Our Legends XV” Dinner.  

The chapter awards were:

  • NFF Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award – Jack Kiser

  • J&C Student-Athletes of the Year – Kc Clapper (female) and Dawson Jacoby (male) 

  • Patrick Mackey Courage Award - Cody Payne (with Drew DeBoer)

  • Citizenship Award - Aaron Lai 

  • Tyler Trent Courage and Resilience Award - Sean English

  • Bernie Flowers Contribution to Amateur Sports Award – Tracy Brown

  • Todd Clark Outstanding Game Official Award - Todd Ransom

  • Legends Award - Larry Clisby 

  • Drew Brees Mental Toughness Award - David Blough

  • Impact Award - Rondale Moore 

  • Indiana Football Hall of Fame Inductees - Dustin Keller and Brian Moore

  • State Championship Trophies to Pioneer and West Lafayette high schools - This was the first year of what is hoped will be an annual feature of our NFF event … honoring state championship high school football teams. 

 

Jack Kiser Pioneer High School

Jack Kiser and the Pioneer football team were recognized for winning the 1A IHSAA state title in 2018. Kiser was also named the chapter's Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Dustin Keller Lafayette Jeff Purdue Miami Dolphins New York Jets

After an outstanding football career with Lafayette Jeff, Purdue, the New York Jets, and the Miami Dolphins, Keller entered the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 2019.

Brian Moore Seeger Fountain Central Parke Heritage

Brian Moore became a member of the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 2019 after successful coaching stops at Seeger, Fountain Central, Lafayette Jeff and Parke Heritage.

Shane Fry West Lafayette football

Shane Fry, head coach of the West Lafayette High School football team, and the Red Devils were honored for winning the Class 3A state title in 2018.
