  • Drew Brees Mental Toughness Award winner Danny Anthrop

    Danny Anthrop (left) shares a laugh with emcee Nate Barrett as he shares advice on playing college football with his younger brother, Jackson. Anthrop was awarded with the Drew Brees Mental Toughness Award for overcoming an ACL injury to play his senior season at Purdue and sign with the Indianapolis Colts.

    Tom Spurgeon provides words of wisdom to the scholar-athletes at the NFF "Celebrating Our Legends XII" Honors Dinner on June 10. Spurgeon received the Legends Award for his business success and contributions to Purdue.
  • Scholar-Athlete of the Year Cody Colbert

    Cody Colbert of Tri-Central High School (left) holds his Scholar-Athlete of the Year trophy alongside Miss Purdue Maureen Brooks and the Journal & Courier's Nathan Baird. Colbert graduated third in his class with a weighted GPA of 4.16 and set a school records for career rushing yards (3,916).
  • Patrick Mackey Courage Award winner Josh Turanchick

    Josh Turanchick (center) took home the Patrick Mackey Courage Award due to his football success at Oak Hill High School while battling club feet. Jack Folkers (right) was a recipient of the award in 2014 and a scholar-athlete finalist at the 2016 Honors Dinner.
  • NFF Northern Indiana Scholar-Athlete Nominees

    Thirteen of the top 14 scholar-athletes in Northern Indiana were in attendance at the Honors Dinner. The collective grade point average of the group was 3.66.
  • IFHOF inductees Jim Young and Pete Quinn

    Former Purdue coach Jim Young (left) reflects on his time at Purdue alongside his former player Pete Quinn (center). The pair were inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame at the Honors Dinner.
